Jen Sygit
Music
A member of the newly formed Earthwork Music Collective (www.earthworkmusic.com), singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jen Sygit reminds us that old souls do live in young minds. Whether delving into mournful blues tunes, haunting folk ballads or rousing oldtime numbers, Jen's rapidly growing repertoire of original songs has surpassed many with its sophisticated lyrics and intense emotion. This Interlochen Alumus, while composing songs primarily on guitar, also plays clawhammer banjo as well as ukulele. Jen has performed at a variety of listening rooms, house concerts and festivals across the state of Michigan and in the spring of 2005 began touring states around the East Coast and Midwest, marking her transition from local to regional artist.
Now, with two years of touring under her belt, Jen is currently working on her second album to be released in early 2006 on Earthwork Music.
